Dr. Christie Sullivan is a board certified Emergency Medicine physician. She graduated summa cum laude from Providence College with a B.S. in Biology and received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 2008. She did her residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nasvhille, TN, and has worked as an Emergency Medicine staff physician both at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN, and at St Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT.

Dr. Sullivan was raised in a home where overall health and wellness were modeled and encouraged by both of her parents. Her father was a chiropractor and her mother was a physical education teacher, so the importance of appropriate exercise, good nutrition and alternative methods of healing was taught to her at a young age. Growing up, Dr. Sullivan carried these principles of wellness with her and has made them a part of her daily life. She now tries to incorporate this knowledge into her practice of medicine. She is currently working part-time as an Urgent Care physician in the Greater Danbury area at Physician One Urgent Care.

Dr. Sullivan recognizes that treating patients’ urgent care needs in the clinic often requires a more comprehensive evaluation of their underlying health and wellness, including diet, physical activity, medication use, mental health and spiritual health. She strives to treat the total person, not just the patient’s chief complaint.

In addition to Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine, Dr. Sullivan is passionate about preventive medicine, specifically the role that overall wellness of body, mind, and spirit plays in the prevention of both acute illness and chronic disease.
